Fun Interactive Lessons
ITA TESOL’s teacher training uses an action-reflection model.
The training methods are interactive rather than lecture style so that all course content is taught using techniques that the trainee teachers can adapt to use within their own classrooms.
Trainees participate in all aspects of the class, through rotational stations, mini-teaching spots, and peer teaching of course content.
After each exercise they are invited to reflect on the purpose and objective of the task and how it could be adapted for different teaching situations.
Each trainee has a mentor that meets with them throughout the course, to provide assistance with course material, teaching practice assistance, and their own personal and learning journey.
The combination of the action reflection model in the classroom, the mentoring support, the teacher mentor model with supportive feedback, and competency based assessment makes gaining English teaching skills accessible.
ITA TESOL trainers have years of experience and a range of different teaching styles, methods and approaches. Our trainers work in team teaching contexts so that trainees are exposed to a range of creative teaching styles.
